It wasn’t until moving to Augusta, where “Miss Georgi” found her calling. She taught Preschool at Martinez United Methodist Church for 33 years. Miss Georgi was the Preschool Director as well as the Children’s Ministry Director for the church. Miss Georgi loved children and it was so passionate in their early learning,
She fought a long and hard battle with Cancer. Mom was always willing to try any treatment and kept a smile on her face throughout the process. She was a fighter until the end and definitely our hero. We would like to personally thank all of the medical staff that have been with us on this journey. We have been so blessed for the Augusta University Cancer Center, Dr. Ghamande, and team, as well as all of the nurses in the infusion center who always had a smile. All of the wonderful nurses on 5 North and South Oncology at Augusta University that took such extra care of our mom.
